AdmissionsWhat does it take?Students of all nationalities, races, creed, religions, and ethnic origins are admitted for study at John Curtis Christian School. Many foreign nations are represented in our student body. The admission committee must be satisfied that the prospective student wants to attend and that he can contribute to and be benefited by the traditions and standards of the John Curtis Christian School. To be considered for admission the following procedure must be observed: 1. An application must be completed and filed with the admissions office. 2. A registration fee must be paid when the application is made. 3. A picture of the applicant must accompany the application 4. As soon as possible the student’s grades for the past year’s school work and achievement test scores or placement test must be sent to the registrar’s office before final acceptance can be made. 5. When a student applies for the first time, his birth certificate and health records must be presented. 6. An interview with the parent or guardian and applicant should be scheduled upon submitting the application. 7. Each student is reconsidered every year for readmission. Readmission will be based on attitude, behavior both in and out of school, and academic achievement. The faculty’s evaluation of their students weighs heavily in readmission. 8. Each student entering the high school must work out his program of studies for the rest of his high school career with the counselor. This program of studies must be approved by the parent and will not be changed unless approved by the parent or the principal. |
